Exynos 2100 by Samsung is All Set for Announcement on January 12, 2021

Samsung has started building hype for the Galaxy S21 series that will be introduced soon. This Korean device manufacturing giant has also offered pre-orders for the S21 lineup in some parts of the world. After building hype for the S21 lineup, Samsung has now come up with its recent teaser for the upcoming flagship chipset – Exynos. This chipset will be used for powering the upcoming S21 series of devices. According to the rumors, this chipset will be named Exynos 2100.

Exynos 2100: Specifications

Even though Samsung didn’t give details regarding the chip’s internals, but with the mated at WinFuture, it did share the specifications sheet of the so-called “Exynos 2100 (According to the rumors).” Like Apple A14 Bionic and Snapdragon 888, the Exynos 2100 is a 5 nm octa-core chipset with one ARM Cortex-X1 core clocked over to a frequency of 2.9GHz. Alongside that, it offers three ARM Cortex-A78 cores that have been clocked at 2.8GHz frequency. Other than that, you will see four ARM Cortex-A55 cores that are clocked at a frequency of 2.4GHz.

This chipset will also have an ARM Mali-G78 GPU, an AI engine to promote fast processing, a newly introduced powerful ISP, and a 5G modem.

Samsung stated that while the new S21 lineup would be powered with the Snapdragon 888 SoC in the US, the device will be powered with the new “Exynos 2100” chipset in the S21 series for parts of the world other than the US.

The latest reports have suggested that Samsung’s flagship chip “Exynos 2100” will be on par with the latest Snapdragon 888 SoC. Now, to test its abilities further, no doubt, we will have to wait till the time it gets launched on the all-new S21 lineup. It will certainly be very interesting to watch how valuable the chipset alongside the S21 lineup of handsets will be for the smartphone users in 2021 or if this Samsung chipset, just like previous ones, disappoints the public.

Launch Date for Exynos 2100

A couple of days ago, Samsung used Twitter as a medium for launch date revelation. According to the tweet, Samsung stated that the whole new Exynos chipset is all set to be released on January 12, 2021, only two days before the rumored event date of the Galaxy S21. The company also shared a quick teaser video that stated, “Exynos is back”; however, the company didn’t make any further revelation regarding the upcoming chipset.
